1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create a FlyForge AI account, we collect your name, email address, and a profile display name you choose. You may optionally add a profile photo, a profile background, and links to your social accounts.

Content you create: We store the flies, patterns, catch logs, fly-box entries, inventory items, marketplace listings, community posts, ideas, and messages you submit to the platform, together with any photos or videos you upload.

Usage and device data: We automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, approximate location (region/country), app activity, and interaction logs to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Payment information: When you make a purchase or subscribe, payment is processed by our payment provider (Wix Payments, branded to you as Base44 Payments). We receive a transaction identifier and the last digits of your payment method, but we never store full card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the service — your account, your fly library, your catch log, your marketplace listings, and your messages.

To process payments and subscriptions, verify entitlements, and manage your plan tier.

To power AI features such as fly grading, fly/material/fish identification, hatch matching, and the AI assistant, which analyze the photos and text you submit.

To send service-related notifications (for example, marketplace messages and account-security emails), to respond to your support requests, and to enforce our community guidelines.

To analyze usage trends and improve features, performance, and safety. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not sell your personal data.

3. Third-Party Services

Authentication providers: Google (and other sign-in providers you choose) are used to verify your identity when you sign in with those services.

Payment provider: Wix Payments (Base44 Payments) handles checkout, subscriptions, and refunds under its own terms and security standards.

AI providers: We use third-party AI models to analyze uploaded photos and text for identification, grading, and assistant features. Submitted content is sent to these providers solely to generate your result and is not used to build a profile of you.

Communication providers: Email delivery is handled by our platform email service for transactional and account messages.

Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data required to deliver the feature you requested.

4. Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only with the third parties listed above to operate the service, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FlyForge AI and its users.

Marketplace transactions reveal your seller/buyer display name and the listing details to the other party in that transaction so the sale can be completed.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your flies, catches, posts, inventory, listings, and personal profile details, then sign you out. Some anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained without identifying you.

Payment records are retained as required by law and by our payment provider for dispute and tax purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and portability: You can view and export your fly collection at any time from your profile.

Correction: You can edit your profile name, photo, background, and social links, and edit or delete your flies, catches, posts, and listings.

Deletion: You can delete your account from your profile, which triggers a permanent cleanup of your data. You may also request deletion by contacting us.

Notifications: You can control which service emails you receive and can disable analytics in your settings.

If you are located in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, and objection. We will honor these requests as required by law.

7. Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and isolated storage for private uploads.

Private files you upload (such as profile backgrounds) are stored in private storage and only accessible through time-limited signed links tied to your account.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to keep your information protected.

8. Children's Privacy

FlyForge AI is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

FlyForge AI is operated from the United States and is available to anglers worldwide. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to that transfer where required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
